students to cultivate their openness and criticism to new or extraordinary ideas and to enhance their general overview regarding the broad variety of geological, paleontological, and general science topics. It is a form of rhetorical practise. The course consists of three sessions per semester, each will focus on a different topic. This course is for Ph.D. students and highly motivated master students. The course will be open when there will be at least 8 participants. It is because this course is mainly designed as a "general" discussion platform. |

Three sessions in each semester. The topics will be specified well in advance. For each topic there will be literature provided, consisting of one or two scientific papers. The participants will have to critically read these papers before each session to be able to actively discuss the selected topics. |
