This course consists of discussions on topics of current interest in organic chemistry, with an active participation by students and faculty members. Students will submit papers and/or give oral presentations about topics from the recent literature in organic chemistry. Discussions of research in progress in the department will be included. Occasional visiting lecturers will participate.

Credit requirements. 1. Participation in seminars. 2. Homework for each seminar must be submitted 2 days before the beginning of the next seminar, ie by Friday. (No credit will be given if they are not submitted in due time.) 3. Elaboration of seminar work. It must be submitted before the end of the semester unless otherwise stated. 4. Po absolvování předmětu student: Bude schopen: a) sepsat smyslu plný životopis; b) připravit si prezentaci o svém projektu či o jiných tématech. Seznámí se s využitím elektronických pomůcek pro přípravu prezentací a bude schop je aplikovat. Seznámí postupem přípravy posterů. Seznámí se zakladními principy sestavovaní grantového návrhu.
