Annotation -
Lecture enhances basic knowledge in all area of modern biology with focus at biochemical principles of biological processes. Aim of this lecture is to briefly repeat a scope of biology from high-school, however, we will look more deeply into molecular aspects of biological processes; therefore we will spend more time on cellular biology and description of biomacromolecule's interactions than on systematic description of the living, and by this to create a basis for later better understanding of detailed biochemical processes which will the students learn in following lectures in their studies.

Cell division. Mitosis and meiosis. Genetic information and basics of genetics. Reproduction.

Viruses, Protozoa, animals, plants and fungi - basics of taxonomy, ecology role and evolutionary relationships.
