1. Introduction to photochemistry. Basic terms. Characterization of photophysical and photochemical processes, their basic descriptions, quantum yields, photochemical laws. 2. Photochemical processes – the rise a properties of excimers, exciplexs, photoinduced electron transfer. Kinetics and rules. The reactivity of the excited states. 3. The absorption and emission. The excitation of molecules and relaxations. Kinetics and rules. Absorption and emission properties of molecules and materials: UV/Vis, emission and excitation spectroscopy. 5. Photoinduced processes in complex systems, (nano)materials applications (semiconductor materials, quantum dots, OLED, solar cells, up-conversion materials. 6. Molecular oxygen and ROS species. Light activated (nano)materials generating ROS species, applications. |
