The lecture deals with principals of sampling and planing of sampling, quality assurance and quality control of sampling. Sampling strategy covers the methods and approaches to sampling from the point of view of practical and legislatory demands. The lecture covers sampling of air, water, solids and hazardous materials and biota. All steps included in sampling process are discussed for manual and automatic sampling, including material of sampling equipment, preservation techniques, sampling of surface and point sources of emissions. The advantages and disadvantages of analytical methods for analyzing different environmental matrices are discussed. Also the methods for long range monitoring and on spot monitoring of air pollution are described. The lecture is completed by film on sampling. |
