Annotation -
A laboratory course emphasizes picking up practical experimental abilities of students in gravimetric and volumetric
techniques of analytical chemistry. The course is address mainly to the students those are interested in practical trial and
acquirement of rare techniques of analytical chemistry. The laboratory training is taught in English for Erasmus students. The laboratory training is in two first weeks of January.

Requirements to the exam -

For successful completion of the practice it is necessary to perform all the prescribed tasks and submit the appropriate protocols. Individual protocols are graded, practical grade is the average of the grade marks.

2. Gravimetric determination of iron as iron(III)oxide
3. Indirect gravimetric determination of calcium
4. Preparation and standardization of standard volumetric solution of hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide
5. Determination of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid in mixture
6. Determination of boric acid in vinegar
7. Determination of molar mass of water-insoluble carbonate
8. Determination of zinc by titration with ferrocyanide solution.
9. Determination of silver by Volhard's methods.
10. Determination of zinc in zinc ointment.
11. Bromatometric determination of ascorbic acid.
12. Determination of saccharides by Schoorl method
13. Reductometric determination of permanganate and dichromate in mixture.
14. Assay of brass
15. Determination of chemical oxygen demand
16. Determination of molar mass of amine by titration in non-aqueous medium
