Annotation -
Practical course for the bachelor, master and PhD students aiming to introduce sampling techniques for freshwater fishes, basic identification of fishes, methods of estimation of abundance, age, growth, age class structure and net reproductive rate. The course will include two days in the field and three days at the faculty.

The course will take place May 12-16.

Syllabus -

Practical course for the bachelor, master and PhD students aiming to introduce sampling techniques for freshwater fishes, basic identification of fishes, methods of estimation of abundance, age, growth, age class structure and net reproductive rate of fish. The course will last 5 days, of which one will be spent in the field (electrofishing, identification of species), and four will be dedicated to estimations of ecological parameters. The course appropriately complements the course Fish Ecology MB162P39. The course will take place during the summer semester.
