Annotation -
There are 48 vacancies in the course Immunology - Practical Exercises. Students will be selected based on the results of an entrance test covering the content of the Protocol as listed in the Moodle.
The test will be administered online during the first week of the semester.
The practicum lasts four days and takes place in November.

The goal of the course is to provide an introduction to basic immunological methods through active participation in a laboratory setting.
Designed for those interested in immunological methods and to further deepen their knowledge of immunology, and suitable as a supplement to the Immunology lecture.
Completion of cell biology and histology practical courses is recommended.

Requirements to the exam -

To obtain the credit,students prepare an electronic report containing the results and interpretation of the experiments and poster summarizing the obtained results.

1. Introduction of immunologically important organs and tissues at the mouse model, preparation of immune cell populations 
2. Culture of these cells, their differentiation and activation
3. Histological staining of dry imprints and smear samples
4. Fluorescent staining and flow cytometry
5. Immunoglobin isolation, protein electrophoresis, western blotting
6. ELISA
7. Indirect immunofluorescence,microscopy
8. NO assay
