Annotation -
A lecture and practicum designed for master's level students. It is a compulsory elective course taught in Czech and recommended especially for those interested in the study of animal physiology and neurobiology. The lecture systematically covers the function of the cardiovascular system and skeletal muscle under physiological and pathophysiological conditions at the physiological, cellular and molecular levels. The course includes a practicum that will provide students with an in-depth introduction to techniques for studying cardiac and skeletal muscle, phenotyping representatives of the major skeletal muscle types, learning about methods for muscle fiber typing, physiological methods for measuring cardiac function in various experimental models
