The aim of this subject is a short introduction into morphology, physiology, phylogeny, characteristic features and representatives of phylogenetic lineages of Fungi and fungal-like organisms. Attention will be paid also to their distribution, diversity, importance and roles in ecosystems and their importance for human. |

Monotematic issue 5/2017 of the journal ŽIVA and all previous articles from ŽIVA put on Moodle in connection to particular lectures are official materails and their content will be required for the exam.
Further reading: Kalina T. a Váňa J. (2010): Sinice, řasy, houby, mechorosty a podobné organismy v současné biologii. Karolinum, 608 str. This publication is essential for terminology and life cycles of fungi and fungal-like organisms. If you do not understand from the talks any term, you may find it here. On the other hand, the book does not contain too many infromation about ecolody and systematic opinion is obsolete.

The requirements for the practical course credit: sufficient participation on the course (min. 80% attendance), passing the test (min. 40% success ratio) and presentation of protocols. At presence 50%-80, there is a compulsory written essay, at presence lower than 50%, there is no way to get the credits. Written exam covers the entire syllabus of the course. The exam consists of four questions that are rather wide and will test the ability to work with obtained knowledge, use proper terminology and deduce answers. |
