This seminar is intended for bachelor's and master's students who have successfully completed the course French - preparation for JLB035 I (or have had this subject recognized in another way) and want to prepare for the follow-up course French for Social Sciences I and II.

This preparatory course is aimed at deepening and consolidating knowledge of general French in the area of grammar and vocabulary, expending the vocabulary of basic thematic areas,improving communication skills and listening and written language comprehension

regular and active presence in the seminar,; oral production and written assignments: max. 50% evaluation

pass 2 tests contrôle continu (40 min, 65%) or 1 final test (60 min., 65%); all material covered in the seminar is tested : consult  FRANCAIS JLB122: max.  50% evaluation

The assessment scale:

0-50 % = F 
51-60 % = E 
61-70 % = D 
71-80 %=C 
81-90 %=B
91% and more=A 

A - outstanding performance with only minor errors, B - above the average standard but with some errors, C - generally sound work with a number of notable errors, D - fair but with significant shortcomings, E - performance meets the minimum criteria, F - fail – considerable further work is required
