Description: In this course you will get an introduction into empirical audience studies. Together with your colleagues you will conduct a small study. You will be introduced to the state of the art of audience research.
Aim of the course
Last update: doc. Dr. phil. Christine Trültzsch-Wijnen, Mag. phil. (09.01.2024)

Workload: You will conduct a small empirical study either as group work with other students or you will participate in a bigger study that is done together with all participants of the seminar. This will depend on the topic of the semester (that will change with regards to actual research questions in the field of audience research).

As the aim of the seminar is to get an insight into hands-on research, you will go through all the parts of an empirical research design: a) research question, sampling; b) data collection; c) data analysis; d) interpretation and critical reflection of results.
