The course, divided into two parts, aims to familiarise graduates with basic professional skills in personal information security and data processing for journalistic work.
The first half of the lectures are aimed at improving awareness of the current risks of electronic communication, while the learner learns what measures they can take to protect themselves, their journalistic colleagues and their sources of information. In the second part of the lectures, the course focuses on the acquisition, processing and interpretation of publicly available data, which will find application in daily journalistic work as well as in the processing of more challenging topics.
