Předmět podává základní informace o vývoji právního řádu, ústavním vývoji a organizaci správy od nejstarších počátků české státnosti do r. 1989. Od roku 1918 pak zahrnuje i výklad o právním vývoji na Slovensku. Důraz je ve výkladu kladen na souvislosti české a československé právní kultury s kulturou evropskou a světovou.
Předmět umožňuje pochopit kontinuitu právního vývoje na našem území a kořeny současného práva platného.

Syllabus -

The knowledge of Czech and Czechoslovak Legal History is subject to a Comprehensive State Examination to be taken after the 2nd semester of the undergraduate programme of study. The course deals with the developments of Czech law, the state and its administration from the earliest beginnings in the Premislide era up to the year 1945. The lectures focus particularly on the periods of the 19th and 20th centuries, where special emphasis is placed upon the historical development of modern legal systems, and their relationship to the law currently applied, as well as the historical development of the Czech and Czechoslovak statehood.
