Annotation -
this subject uses topics discussed mainly in Clinical pharmacy. It expects and devolps knowledge and skills from Health Care Psychology, Social Interactions and Communication, Pharmacoinformatics and Basics of Health Care as well. It is supposed that students will use their knowledge of Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Recommended subject to improve their ability to be successful in Pharmaceutical Care is to apply for the subject Clinical Pharmacy ? Drug Risk. Interactive lectures will be used by selected diseases to exercises how to improve drug benefits and reduce drug risks and the risk of non-compliance. It is discussed how to work with different types of anamneses. Worldwide development of pharmaceutical care is being demonstrated. Within the seminars useful skills will be trained, how to use medical devices and how to apply special dosage forms as well as methods how to reduce non-compliance. Methods of alternative and complementary medicine will be discussed as well. In the area of lifestyle we focus on diets, exercising, abuse of social addictive drugs and food- drug interactions. Subject is finished by credit and exam. For credit it is required to pass a practical exam of correct application and use of selected dosage forms medical devices. Exam is complex and good knowledge of the Social Pharmacy (it means mainly the aspects connected with non-compliance, pharmacopeidemiology, medication errors and pharmacoinformatics) will be required. Each student selects two questions: The first question demanding theoretical knowledge of one area of pharmaceutical care. The second one is any particular case lectured during lectures and seminars.
