The scope of the subject includes the information about medical devices available in the pharmacies, i. e. absorbent cotton, gauze, bandages, plasters, wound care products, compressing bandages and stockings, means for diabetic and incontinence patients, ostomy appliances, orthopedic supports. The teaching is oriented at the composition and construction of the devices and at learning about the properties and knowledge of the right way of using the specific medical devices.

Náplň předmětu tvoří zdravotnické prostředky, které jsou součástí sortimentu lékáren, vata, gáza, obinadla, náplasti, prostředky na krytí ran, na kompresivní terapii, prostředky pro diabetiky, stomiky a inkontinentní pacienty, ortézy a bandáže. Výuka je orientována na složení a konstrukci prostředků, na poznání jejich vlastností a na znalosti o správném použití konkrétního zdravotnického prostředku.
