Annotation -
Elective course from a compulsory group of courses, 4th section of the Pharmacy study program, summer semester. The subject is related to the subjects Pharmaceutical Technology 1 and 2 and the subject Development of Pharmaceutical Products (GAF379). The subject is intended for students who want to expand their knowledge in Pharmaceutical Technology, particularly in manufacturing technologies used in large-scale production. The subject belongs to the area of specialization in Pharmaceutical Technology. Lectures/seminars are followed by the five-days training in Teva, Opava-Komárov, where oral tablets, hard and soft gelatin capsules, syrups, oral drops, nasal sprays, and skin sprays are produced. Lectures and internship always take place in May. An accomodation in Opava and lunch in company are paid by Teva company. Further costs (train to Opava, etc.) are paid by students. The capacity limit is 6. The subject belongs to the area of specialization in Pharmaceutical Technology; the students enrolled in the specialization are preferred in the case the capacity is exceeded.

The subject is concluded by passing the written exam.

100% presence is required in the theoretical lectures/seminars and at the practical training in Teva.
