Syllabus

First Aid III repeats and extends knowledge and skills from previous subjects First Aid, First Aid II and Anaesthesiology and Essentials of Intensive Care Medicine necessary for effective recognition and treatment of life-threatening situations including cardiac arrest.   

 

E-learning (12 h):

Advanced life support, post resuscitation care.  

Respiratory failure.

Oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation.

Shock, shock models, catecholamines, inotropes, fluids - hypovolemia management.

Infusion therapy – basic requirements, correction of fluid deficits, common mineral disorders, nutritional support initiation, algorithm, complications

 

Practical training (3 h):

Life-threatening situations including cardiac arrest, ALS in clinical scenarios
