Transfusion medicine lessons provide comprehensive and practical account of modern blood transfusion practice. The main topics are: a) practice in transfusion departments (blood donation and blood processing; production, testing, storage and quality control of blood components), b) clinical transfusion practice (principles of rational haemotherapy, indications for use of blood components), c) complications of transfusion.

Výuka předmětu transfuzní lékařství seznamuje s praktickými a moderními postupy v transfuzní praxi. Hlavními tématy jsou: a) výroba na transfuzním oddělení (odběr a zpracování krve; výroba, testování, skladování a kontrola kvality transfuzních přípravků), b) klinická transfuziologie (zásady účelné hemoterapie, indikace podání jednotlivých transfuzních přípravků), c) komplikace transfuze.
