The course continues in the summer term, directed at expanding and strengthening the medical terminology. The instruction is based on reading and listening comprehension of medical texts, case reports, interpreting tables and diagrams and taking notes. In discussion on "burning topics" they learn to express objections, doubts or hesitation, to ask for more details or explanation, to consult the problem, etc. The new terms are practised with an array of exercises compiled from various textbooks on English in medicine. Students continue in presentations of diseases and disorders of various systems, or case reports.

Kurz ME pokračuje v letním semestru a zaměřuje se na rozšíření odborné terminologie na základě čtení, poslechu a porozumění odborných textů, kazuistik, interpretace tabulek, grafických diagramů a zápis poznámek. V diskusi se učí oponovat, požádat o vysvětlení nebo detaily, konzultovat problém, vyjádřit pochyby apod. Odborná terminologie je procvičována na řadě cvičení kompilovaných z různých učebnic AJ pro medicínu. Studenti pokračují v prezentacích o chorobách a poruchách různých systémů, případně vypracují (nebo interpretují ) samostatně kazuistiky.
