The primary purpose of this subject is to support the development of e-learning and publicity at the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen. Students are involved in recording, processing, and publishing lectures for undergraduate and postgraduate education. They can likewise participate in the creation of teaching materials (e.g. tests or texts in the Moodle platform). Students have the opportunity to participate in the creation of videos and their subsequent editing, prepare posts to the faculty's social media or develop "journalistic" work during live online broadcasts (streaming) from various events at the faculty or in the form of podcasts. Furthermore, we offer students the opportunity to collaborate on creating subtitles for undergraduate and postgraduate videos (in Czech and also in English) and on taking photos of 360° tours. If interested, it is possible to actively participate in peer-to-peer teaching (one student teaches other students).
Last but not least, we offer the possibility of project realization according to your own proposition, with the main evaluative criterion for the project being its contribution to the development of the faculty.
Skills that a student can acquire during the course include: creating and processing specialized presentations into e-learning format, basics of working with social media, creating effective educational tests, expressing and communicating through images/videos, conveying information, and basics of pedagogy in medicine.
Upon successful completion of the subject in one semester, you will earn 3 credits. If you enroll in the subject for both semesters, you will earn a total of 6 credits.
According to the Dean's Measure No. 7/2023 (Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen | Charles University - cuni.cz), a student can also earn 1 point for year-long cooperation in the subject, provided they fulfill the prescribed number of activities (see Exam/credit requirements). Selected types of activities are also rewarded with scholarships.

Základním smyslem předmětu je podpora rozvoje e-learningu a publicity na LFP. Studenti se zapojují do nahrávání, zpracování a publikace přednášek pro pregraduální i postgraduální výuku. Rovněž se mohou zapojit do tvorby výukových materiálů (např. testů či textů v prostředí Moodle). Studenti mají možnost podílet se na tvorbě videí a jejich následné editaci, připravovat příspěvky na sociální sítě fakulty nebo rozvíjet "novinářskou" práci při živých on-line přenosech (streamování) z různých akcí na fakultě či formou podcastů. Dále studentům nabízíme spolupráci na tvorbě titulků k pregraduálním a postgraduálním videím (v ČJ i AJ) a na focení 360° prohlídek. V případě zájmu je možné aktivně se zapojit do výuky studentů formou peer to peer (student učí studenty).
V neposlední řadě nabízíme i možnost realizace projektu dle vlastního návrhu, přičemž hlavním hodnotícím kritériem projektu je jeho přínos pro rozvoj fakulty.
Dovednosti, které student může během kurzu získat: tvorba a zpracování odborné prezentace do e-learningové formy, základy práce se sociálními médii, tvorba efektivních výukových testů, vyjadřování a komunikace formou obrazu/videa, předávání informací a základy pedagogiky v medicíně.
Za úspěšné splnění předmětu SPPČ v jednom semestru získáte 3 kredity, pokud si zapíšete předmět v obou semestrech, získáte celkem 6 kreditů.
Dle opatření děkana č. 7/2023 (Lékařská fakulta v Plzni | Univerzita Karlova (cuni.cz) může student také získat 1 bod za celoroční spolupráci v předmětu, pokud splní předepsaný počet aktivit (viz Požadavky ke zkoušce/zápočtu). Vybrané druhy aktivit jsou oceněny i stipendiem.

Teaching methods -
Classes are conducted through the processing of real professional and educational presentations or the creation of your own videos and streams. Most communication is done remotely, using various forms of online communication. When necessary, we gather for short workshops and coordination meetings. Part of the teaching is carried out through informal knowledge sharing by older students (professionally ;-)).

Výuka probíhá formou zpracování reálných odborných a výukových prezentací nebo tvorbou vlastních videí, streamů. Většina komunikace se realizuje na dálku, různými formami on-line komunikace. Dle potřeby se scházíme na krátké workshopy a koordinace. Část výuky probíhá formou neformálního předávání zkušeností (profesně ;-)) staršími studenty.

Requirements to the exam -
To pass the credit, it is necessary to achieve a minimum score in each semester, which the student will be familiarized with at the beginning of each semester. The score is derived from clearly documented outputs of student activities and is calculated using a transparent methodology. During the first semester of enrolment, it is necessary to complete the course Student Pedagogical and Publicity Activities (SPPČ) on the PO>STUDIUM portal. Further information for granting credits will be provided at the introductory meeting at the beginning of each semester.

Ke splnění zápočtu je zapotřebí dosáhnout v každém semestru minimálního skóre, se kterým se student seznámí vždy na začátku semestru. Skóre je odvozeno od jednoznačně doložitelných výstupů aktivit studenta a je vypočteno dle transparentní metodiky. Během prvního semestru zápisu je potřeba splnit kurz Studentská pedagogická a publicitní činnost (SPPČ) na portále PO>STUDIUM. Bližší informace pro udělení budou sděleny na úvodní schůzce vždy začátkem každého semestru.

1. Knowledge
Upon successful completion of the course, the student:
describes the principles of creating e-learning materials and publishing academic presentations;
explains the basic rules of working with social media and the principles of academic publicity;
characterizes the procedures for preparing live streams, online broadcasts, and podcasts;
clarifies the basic pedagogical principles of peer-to-peer teaching in medicine.
2. Skills
Upon completion of the course, the student is able to:
record and process an academic lecture into an e-learning format (video, audio, presentation);
edit video or presentation materials using commonly available tools and publish them in Moodle or another system;
create short informational or promotional posts for the faculty’s social media;
design and construct test questions suitable for an e-learning environment;
prepare and conduct a live online broadcast or produce a podcast on a selected topic;
create and time-align subtitles (CZ/EN) for educational videos;
capture and process 360° visual material (photos/tours);
deliver a selected topic through peer-to-peer teaching and apply basic pedagogical principles;
design, plan, and implement an independent project that contributes to the development of the faculty.
3. Competences
After completing the course, the student:
collaborates with the team on the preparation of academic and educational materials and coordinates their activities in an online environment;
evaluates the quality of created materials (video, post, test, presentation) and modifies them according to established criteria;
reflects on and assesses their contribution within long-term cooperation (point-based evaluation, project outputs);
documents completed activities responsibly and works with a transparent assessment methodology;
develops creativity and initiative when designing projects that support faculty development;
communicates effectively across various media (text, image, sound, video) and adapts messages to the target audience.

1. Znalosti
Po úspěšném absolvování předmětu student:
popíše principy tvorby e-learningových materiálů a publikace odborných prezentací;
vysvětlí základní pravidla práce se sociálními sítěmi a principy akademické publicity;
charakterizuje postupy přípravy streamu, online přenosu a tvorby podcastu;
objasní základní pedagogické zásady peer-to-peer výuky v medicíně.
2. Dovednosti
Po absolvování předmětu student dokáže:
nahrát a zpracovat odbornou přednášku do e-learningové podoby (video, audio, prezentace);
upravit video nebo prezentaci pomocí běžně dostupných nástrojů a publikovat ji do Moodle či jiného systému;
vytvořit krátké informační nebo propagační příspěvky pro sociální sítě fakulty;
navrhnout a sestavit testové otázky vhodné pro e-learningové prostředí;
připravit a realizovat živý online přenos nebo zprodukovat podcast z vybraného tématu;
vytvořit a načasovat titulky (ČJ/AJ) k výukovým videím;
zachytit a zpracovat 360° vizuální materiál (fotografie/prohlídky);
předat konkrétní téma formou peer-to-peer výuky a aplikovat základní pedagogické principy;
navrhnout, naplánovat a uskutečnit vlastní projekt přínosný pro rozvoj fakulty.

Student po absolvování předmětu:
spolupracuje s týmem na přípravě odborných a výukových materiálů a koordinuje svou činnost v online prostředí;
posuzuje kvalitu vytvořených materiálů (video, příspěvek, test, prezentace) a upravuje je podle stanovených kritérií;
reflektuje a hodnotí svůj přínos v rámci dlouhodobé spolupráce (bodové hodnocení, projektové výstupy);
zodpovědně dokumentuje splněné aktivity a pracuje s transparentní metodikou hodnocení;
rozvíjí vlastní kreativitu a iniciativu při návrhu projektů podporujících rozvoj fakulty;
komunikuje efektivně v různých médiích (text, obraz, zvuk, video) a přizpůsobuje sdělení cílové skupině.
