Physical performance diagnostics or exercise diagnostics deals with measuring and evaluating the response of <br>
the human body to different types of exercise. Students will learn to perform stress tests such as spiroergometry, <br> lactate test (on a cycle or running ergometer), Wingate test, Bruce test, Balke protocol or dynamometry of different <br> muscle parts. The aim of the course will be to deepen understanding of the body's physiological responses to <br> exercise, to gain key knowledge for effective diagnosis of fitness and exercise tolerance, and to gain real-world, <br> practical skills to implement fitness assessments. This knowledge can be applied not only to the planning of <br> training programs to improve physical performance, but also to the assessment of patients' ability to undergo <br> major surgical procedures.<br> NOTICE: this course is taught only in the winter semester of the academic year Last update: Cinková Michaela, Bc.
