Annotation -
The course is focused on clinically applied anatomy. It is based on the blended learning, the clinical specialists share
their real cases as well.
Elective subject Anatomy in Clinical Practice (CAA) was established to deepen the student´s knowledge of anatomy in connection with the clinical use – we are happy to have the possibility of cooperation with our teaching clinicians.

The first class will be held on-line on October 16, 2024 from 5:30 pm via Zoom application, the invitation will be send to the applicants in forward. For the fully distance approach, the presence-form lectures will be recorded, and on-line tutorials offered. The students are expected to study also from the e-course Clinically applied anatomy and take the spot tests offered here. For the final credit awarrd, successful passing of the intermediate tests at the end of the Topics (2 attempts possible) is required as well as the Final PC test completion at min. 70 % point.

Syllabus

1. Course introduction, Clinical anatomy of the hand: wrist, synovial sheaths, carpal tunel, snuff box
2. Meninges and cavities of the CNS, hematomas, hydrocephalus, lumbar puncture
3. Dissection room, specimens demonstration (hand, axilla, brain, spinal cord; heart)
4. Dissection room, specimens demonstration (hand, axilla, brain, spinal cord; heart)
5. Peripheral nerves, Head´s zones – reffered pain; dermatomes, myotomes; innervation of the limbs and heart
6. Peritoneal cavity and abdomen in sudden abdominal incidences and „acute abdomen" from the anatomical background
7. Venous accesses in the intensisive care, case reports
8. Dissection room, specimens demonstration (organs and spaces of the abdomen and pelvis, axilla); porto- and cavocaval anastomoses, portal hypertension
