During the course, students will become familiar with general urology, as well as with special urology (uroinfection, urolithiasis,
urooncology, urinary tract dysfunction, incontinence, acute conditions in urology, developmental defects of the urotract, pediatric
urology, acute conditions in urology, traumatology of the urogenital tract, andrology and benign prostatic hyperplasia).
Practical teaching takes place in the ambulatory, inpatient and operating department of the urology clinic. Part of the teaching is practical
skill training on laparoscopic and endoscopic simulators.

Lectures

2 teaching hours every 14 days, a total of seven:

1. General urology, urological literature, evidence-based medicine (EBM), kidney failure, congenital anomalies, intersexualism, transsexualism
2. Urinary tract infection, urolithiasis
3. Urooncology I- introduction, penile carcinoma, testicular carcinoma , kidney and  adrenal glands cysts and tumours, retroperitoneal diseases
4. Urooncology II- bladder and the upper urinary tract tumours, prostate carcinoma
5. Dysfunction of lower urinary tract, incontinence
6. BPH, prostatitis, benign diseases of genitals, male urethritis, urethral strictures.
7. Andrology, trauma, emergency urology

-          For  attendance, one absence allowed per semester

-          2 requirements done:

o   Wound bandaging or extraction stitches

o   Blood taking, i.v. cannula

o   Catheterisation

o   Medical history / physical examination or digital rectal examination
