Lectures: Types of dentures - dividing, description, basic indication:
artificial crowns ( metal, resin, ceramic and veneer crowns), post core, post crown, fixed bridges, partial and complete dentures; temporary immediate and half- immediate dentures. Classification of dental arch defects (Voldřich, Kennedy). Classification of abutment teeth, biological factor of teeth. Fundamentals of gnatology: setting of teeth in dental arch, jaw-joint, masticatory muscles, movements of mandible, basic jaw relationships. Examination and plan of prosthetic treatment. Practics: Training of crown preparation on phantoms (metal, non-metal, veneer crowns, post core, post crown). Prevention in periodontology. Oral hygiene. Toothbrushing methods. Rules for the exam in Preclinical dentistry: - the oral exam is preceded by completed credits from the subject for the 2nd year - the oral exam is preceded by a completed test in periodontology, which is an integral part of the exam (can be repeated a maximum of 2 times). The questions in the test are within the scope of lectures on Preclinical Dentistry and Preventive Dentistry and Cariology.
