This course allows you to acquire basic swimming skills in at least one swimming method and at the same time skills associated with staying in the aquatic environment.

Practical lessons take place at the SWIMMING POOL - Hostivař Sports Centre (SC UK Hostivař, Bruslařská 10, Praha10) every Thursday from 3:45 PM to 4:30 PM

Syllabus

Lessons are for non-swimmers or beginner swimmers only.

Skill:

  • choice of a suitable swimming method

  • practice breathing into water

  • water position and balance training

  • propulsion exercise

  • technical exercises for training the movements of the upper and lower limbs, movement interactions and interplay with breathing

  • application of acquired skills in shallow water

  • application of acquired skills in deep water

  • practice of starts, basic turns and jumps into the water

  • swimming with training fins

  • swimmer safety

  • physical laws affecting swimming technique

  • swimming warm-up, stretching and calming

  • fitness swimming gradual extension of continuously floated sections

  • informative classification of jumps and falls into the water

  • dexterity and orientation training in the aquatic environment
