Aim of the course

Výukovým cílem je seznámení se s problematikou psychoterapeutického přístupu k pacientům ve zdravotní péči a dále se specializovanými technikami systematické psychoterapie. Předmět je určen pro studenty klinických ročníků medicíny, tedy pro ty, kteří již mají vlastní zkušenost z kontaktů s pacienty. Předpokládá se zájem o otázky vztahu mezi terapeutem a pacientem a osobní sebereflexi s ochotou prezentovat vlastní otázky a problémy pro psychoterapeutické zpracování.

Syllabus

The aim of the subject is to introduce psychotherapeutical approach to patients and special techniques of systematic psychotherapy. The subject is applicable for students who already have own experience with the contact with patients. Interest in the relationship between the therapist and the patient as well as willigness to present own personal topics for psychotherapeutic work are expected.

Focus of the subject:
Introduction of psychotherapy (theoretical bases, overview of psychotherapeutic schools, use of psychotherapy in medicine, age particularity, integration between psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy, ethical aspects).

Detailed introduction of the approaches used in psychoanalysis, dynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and family therapy.

Interviews with patients hospitalized in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry followed by collective discussion oriented on questions related to the use of psychotherapy in the treatment.
