Cílem předmětu je seznámit studenty s relativně novou subspecializací neurologie - neurointezivní péčí. V úvodu každé přednášky bude podán krátký souhrn v rozsahu povinné výuky v neurologii pro studenty, kteří ještě neabsolvovali blok neurologie. Většina diskutované problematiky není v tomto rozsahu probírána v průběhu základní výuky neurologie. Studenti budou seznámeni se základními principy neurointezivní péče, možnostmi neuromonitorace, diferenciální diagnostikou a vyšetřením pacienta s poruchou vědomí. Nejdůležitější etiologické jednotky budou probrány v samostatných přednáškách (ischemická a hemoragická cévní mozková příhoda, status epilepticus atp.). Na závěr každé přednášky bude podán stručný souhrn (take-home message) s praktickými tipy na urgentní řešení z pohledu studenta medicíny či lékaře jiné odbornosti.
The aim of the course is to introduce a recent addition to family of neurology subspecialties: Neurointensive care. At the beginning of each lecture will be given a short summary of problem for students from the 4th year. Majority of course curriculum is not discussed at regular neurology curriculum in the 5th year. Participants will be acquainted with basic principles of neurointensive care, possibilities of neuromonitoring and differential diagnosis of comatose patients. The most important disorders will be discussed in separate lectures (such as stroke, brain hemorrhage, status epilepticus). At the closing of the lectures will be presented take-home messages for the most serious neurologic emergencies.
