Annotation
Surgery I is the first part of the surgical education taught at the medical program at the Second Faculty of Medicine. It is taught in the fourth year and is followed by Surgery II, which is taught in the sixth year. The syllabus of Surgery I focuses on the surgical examination of the patient, the diagnostic techniques used in surgery and the basic diseases encountered in surgery.

Syllabus

Information for students

Teaching of Surgery (Special Surgery) of 4th year medical students will take place in the Department of Surgery, Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and Motol University Hospital. The surgical block (2nd week) will start on Monday at 8:30 in the library of the surgical department (first floor, corridor between section A and B). Do not forget to bring a white coat and your ID card.

Surgery – International students, 4th year

Education in surgery in the fourth year of the general medicine program takes place in a two-week teaching block. This consists of one week of general surgery and one week of special surgery.
