Introduction to the topic hygiene propedoutic: Definition, conception and short history of hygiene. Current legislative and organization providing for hygiene. Hygiene in health care system. Targets of hospital hygiene. Main risks in health care system (for patients, profesionals, visitors). Physical, chemical and biological factors in health care. Important factors affected health. Requirements for watter suplpy and disposal of sewage. Heating facilities, microclimate conditions, noise, lighting etc. Desinfection and sterilization. Improvement of knowledge of types and forms of desinfection and sterilization in health care. Main types of its methods and techniques. Legislative regulations. Hospital infections: Definition of the term "hospital infections", importace of specific, nonspecific, endogenous and exogenous hospital infections, seriousness of different types of these infections, possibilities of prevention, trends of distributions and methods of control. Environmental hygiene. Basic knowledge of ecology. Abiotic and biotic factors. Development of ecosystem and their stability. Global problems of air pollution. Greenhouse gases. Types of smog and influence to human helath. Water main sources of polution. Food chaine of chemical components. Alergogenic plants. Diseases transmited by vectors. Ecotoxicology.
