Annotation -
Learn the basics and principles of canoeing and water tourism. Riding lessons for multiple types of vessels (canoe, kayak, raft). Safety planning and boating events. First aid in saving in running water. Water rescue and self-rescue. The course is due to chartering charged.

Aim of the course -
The aim of the course is to acquire basic skills in handling multiple types of boats.

Getting to know the risks and critical situations while canoeing.

Teaching salvation and self-preservation.

Preparation boating events.

Course completion requirements -

The course is completed by credit.

Credits are awarded for active participation in seminars at least 12 lessons.
Passing the test of theoretical knowledge.

Teaching methods -

The course is taught once a week for 90 minutes (2 teaching hours).

For the summer semester 2024/256, classes will be held on Mondays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

Syllabus -

Due to the measures of the Rector of Charles University, the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Czech Republic, the practical teaching of our workplace will take place only by distance learning until further notice.

Introduction to the basics and principles of canoeing and water tourism.

Riding lessons for multiple types of vessels (canoe, kayak, raft).

Safety planning and boating events.

First aid in saving in running water.

Water rescue and self-rescue.

The course is due to chartering charged.

- Technology canoeing

- Technology kayaking

- The basics of rafting

- Course vyučovám 1x per week for 90 to 135 min

- Training takes place in a shipyard in Malá Chuchle or in Hostivař Swimming pool

- In winter fitness training on canoeing. teaching Eskimo turnovers.

Entry requirements -
The course is designed for beginners.

Student must be a swimmer (to swim at least 200 meters without rest)

The course is due to rent a boat charged.
