The aim of the course is to introduce students to the system of law and individual branches of law. Further, the students are introduced to the basic legal institutions such as liability for injury, personality etc. Students are also familiarized with the application of law and the related necessary basic proficiency, i.e. the Civil Code, the Labour Code, Act on Health Services, Act on Public Health Protection etc. Students must also develop understanding of the public aspects of law, such as constitutional basics of the Czech legal system or the system of public health insurance. |

The course credit for the first semester is given for presentation of group projects focusing on chosen topic of medical law, presented during the last lecture of the first semester. The course credit for the second semester is given for answerig open questions on the topics learned in the second semester. Attendance of at least 70% is mandatory in each semester. |
