The subject Infection is addressed to students of public healths, bachelors, 3rd year. Students learn epidemiology of infectious diseases, their clinical presentation, risk and prognosis, principles of diagnostics and therapy, preventive and prophylactic options.

The primary goal is to provide students with the basic informations about infectious diseases, their danger to the individual patient as well as the whole human population.
The secondary goal is to understand relations between microorganisms and human beeings, to be aware of the global aspect of infectious diseases, to understand the specific position of antibiotic (antiinfection) therapy among other therapeutic modalities.
