The subject is taught in bachelor?s study programme Specialisation in Health Care, subject Public Health in the 1st year of study (combined study). Introductory to the subject epidemiology, terminology, epidemiological studies.

Goal of the subject is make students acquainted with professional terminology used in epidemiology, with epidemiological approach to assessment of health and disease, with basic characteristics of epidemiological studies, how to organize, conduct, evaluate and interpret epidemiological study. For awarding the credit is inevitable at least 80% attendance at practical trainings and successful passing the test (20 questions of a multiple choice test ? 80% of correct answers) After elapsing all the offered test dates at least 14 days interval is necessary for a new test date after consultation with the head teacher. Missing practical training can be substitute only by consultation with appropriate teacher.
