The basic philosophy, sociology and psychology: The lectures are divided in three parts: Introduction to a philosophy, History of Medicina and Introduction to a Medical Law. In seminars are discussed the very basic concepts of philosophy and sociology concerning medicine, such as quality of life, value of life, relationship I/You, body/soul problems etc. |

The basic knowledge and skills in nursing: Topics - practicum Bedmaking, bedridden patient. Disuse syndrome ? effects of immobility. Hygienic needs, washing patients, mouth care. Handwashing, positioning patients. Measuring vital signs - puls, blood pressure, respiration, temperature. Practice in hospital - half of group each time. Medication administration - per os, to eye, ear, nose, per rectum. Bandaging. Bowel elimination - enema. Urine elimination - male, female catheterization. Student presentations - credits. Lectures Nursing practice Hospital acquired infections, safety precautions Nutritional needs Students presentation, case studies The basic philosophy, sociology and psychology: Seven lectures are divided to three parts: Introduction to Philosophy (3x), History of Medicine (2x), Introduction to Medical Law (2x) The topics of seminars: The Relationship and his role during creation of "Self" The basic types of relationships: personal I/You, non-personal, I/it, etc. The basic frame of our relationships (nature, society, religion, art etc.) The Origin of the Humankind: the hunter-gatherer societies etc. The quality of life issues.
