Annotation -
A comprehensive overview of the most important types of drug dependency is given in seminaries, which are held by invited experts. A special accent is given on the mechanisms of drug abuse and drug dependency, treatment and prevention. Excursions into choosen specialised workplaces are included in this course.

Aim of the course -

The aim of this course is to give to the medical students as much as comprehensive and actual level of information about the problematic of drug dependency and drug abuse. The neurobiological and further mechanisms of drug abuse and dependency as well as the most important methods of research, treatment and prevention are given. The actual situation in the Czech Republic is accented. Excursions into specialised workplaces are included in this course.
