The course deals with important topics in the areas of research career opportunities and responsible conduct of
research in addiction science. The course is part of the obligatory curricula for Ph.D. candidates in the doctoral
study program at the Department of Addictology. The topics covered are: introduction to the responsible conduct of
research in the addiction science, scientific misconduct, ethical issues related to research in addiction science,
competitive interests and scientific integrity, careers in addiction science in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Tento předmět se zaměřuje na profesní a vědecké otázky, které jsou relevantní pro profesní rozvoj mladých vědců
se zájmem o vědy o závislostech, zejm.: 1) kariérní možnosti v adiktologii; 2) odpovědné provádění výzkumu, včetně
integrity výzkumu a etiky publikací; 3) praktické zkušenosti s financováním vědy o závislostech a procesem
přezkumu grantů. Každý student je také povinen oponovat dvě žádosti o grant a vědecký článek, aby zjistil, jaké
problémy jsou pro recenzenty významné.
Popis struktury předmětu / hl. témata:
1) Kariéra v adiktologii;
2) Etické problémy:
Vědecké pochybení;
Etika ve výzkumu a publikací, poskytuje návod, jak zjistit a zabránit vědeckému pochybení (např.
Nedbalost, nadbytečná publikace, nekalé autorství, nehlášené střety zájmů, porušování lidských subjektů,
plagiátorství, vědecké podvody);
3) Vědecká publikace – důraz na informace a znalosti;
4) Psaní a vydávání vědeckých prací – důraz na informace a znalosti;
5) Vzájemné hodnocení - oponentury;
6) Financování projektů.
