Welcome to the inaugural Introduction to Global Health: Short Course (Hybrid) for 2024-2025! We are thrilled to have you join us in this exciting learning journey, supported by the Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, in collaboration with the Prague Center for Global Health. Global health is a critical field of study as the world faces escalating health security risks, from environmental degradation and the spread of infectious diseases, to the rise in non-communicable diseases and the impact of human conflicts. Our interconnected world means that disasters affecting one community can have far-reaching consequences. In this intensive three-day short course, you will gain a foundational understanding of global health issues and apply practical knowledge through group work and case studies. Course Format This course will be delivered in a hybrid format, allowing you to participate either in person or online. We will schedule sessions to fit the team’s needs and provide flexibility for both virtual and physical attendance.
