Theory of fixed and removable prosthodontics; demonstration of knowledge of patient history, of diagnosis and treatment options for function dentition in reduced dentitions with fixed and removable prostheses, of treatment procedures in edentulous patients, and of patients of the follow-up of patients with overdentures supported by natural teeth or implants.

To receive the classified credit are requested: 1.Compulsory attendance at the clerkships and seminars, 2. Succesful oral interview with the teacher. Basic knowledge for Prosthetic Dentistry 2020 -Contents 1. Implants, rationale for implants from point of prosthetic dentistry, consultation, examination, treatment plan, abutments, materials, cement-retained, screw-retained, friction-retained prostheses on implants…. 2. General properties of materials use in prosthetic dentistry, main materials: metal and no metal materials, material for impression…… 3. The new age of prosthetic dentistry. No post, no crowns, miniinvasive preparation, new materials for CAD/CAM technology, (PEEK, Trilor, G-CAM, ….) 4. Resin bonded fixed dental prostheses, single or two abutment design, cantilever design, etched metal, etched ceramic, retention (undercut, micromechanical, and grooves), chairside procedures. 5. All ceramic restoration. 6. Treatment planning in prosthetic dentistry. History taking, clinical examination, principal of occlusion, periodontal consideration, combination implant and teeth abutment,…. 7. Luting agents and cementation procedures. Classic and CAD/CAM produced overlay or crowns. 8. Removable dentures, retainers for partial dental prostheses, treatment plan,clasp and attachment support, bracing, reciprocal elements, … 9. Overdentures, periodontal receptors, PEEK, telescope and cone crown as abutment. 10. Regulation for credits - prosthodontic subjects Prosthodontics in Dental Medicine 2 1) Participation in practices - two absences tolerated per semester (sikness - confirmated by doctor, exeptional situation) 2) Participation in seminars - two absences tolerated per semester (sikness - confirmated by doctor, exeptional situation) 3) Passing a credit test, min 65% of correct answers plus interview with a teacher 4) Max. two oral exam corrections if failing the test 5) Minimum practice skills: a) 1x preparation for fixed denture + impression b) 1 phase making of complet denture ( funstional impression, reconstruction of jaw relations, traying of the dental model, correction of denture) c) 1x repair of removable denture
