Basics of cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, surgery of the breast, gastrointestinal surgery, acute abdomen, hernia surgery, endocrine surgery, traumatology. Principles of surgical procedures.
Praxis in operating theatres, wards, ICU and outpatients departments. Assistance during surgical procedures.

Course week consist of practical education 4 days/week (Tue - Fri) and 1 day of theoretical lectures (Mo). Student´s rotation schedule for practical education will be available at secretary office of 1st Surgical Department in first day of surgical course (on Monday 27.4.2015).

Teusday - Friday 08.30 - 12.00 /wards, units, outpatient/ 08.00 - 12.00 /operating room/ The students of 4th year General Medicine are devided to four groups to separate surgical departments. The students attend 3 weeks general surgery and 1 week cardio-vascular surgery and 1 week plastic surgery - system of rotation.

Entry requirements
Students attend the first day of internship at 1st Surgical Department in the first floor at 8.30 a.m. Requirements on students: slippers and a white medical coat.
