This course focuses on new Russian history, from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. It is intended not only for students of history, but for everyone who is interested in Russian history. Active knowledge of the Russian language at the B1 level is a prerequisite for participation in the course. In this course we will work with texts about Russian history taken from historical, journalistic and linguistic works of historians, linguists and writers. We will work both with topics related to the current situation in Ukraine and Russia, and with topics related to historical events preceding this situation.
