The exam examines productive and receptive skills in the particular language at the level B2. There are two parts – written and speaking.
The written part (60 points) - Listening comprehension (12 points) - Reading comprehension (12 points) - Use of English (18 points) - Writing (18 points) The speaking part (40 points) - Evaluation of the written part - Discussion in English - the topic close to the academic environment - Structured presentation of the chosen specialized text and discussion - Interpretation The length of the specialized text is 20 standard pages. The text must be related to the student’s studies. The text can be consulted with an examiner beforehand (highly advisable if students are in doubt). The author of the text must be a native speaker of the particular language, the source of the text cannot be e.g. an anonymous website, Wikipedia etc., and the text must not be a translation from a different language. The text can be taken from e.g. two different sources, if photocopied the pages with the title, information on the author(s) and bibliography (editor, publisher, year of the edition).
