Aim of the course -

To acquaint students with the real form of psychotherapy in modern psychological practice, to describe the operation of selected Czech psychotherapeutic workplaces, to briefly present the current form of the most important psychotherapeutic currents, to discuss the specifics of psychotherapy research, to describe psychotherapeutic practice in psychiatric hospitals and to introduce selected contemporary topics of psychotherapy (psychotherapy of personality disorders, psychedelic psychotherapy, child psychotherapy, etc.). The course includes the analysis of case studies of different schools of psychotherapy, reading of important psychotherapeutic texts and analysis of videos of psychotherapy sessions.
