The course is devoted to the definition of social psychology on a cross-section of historical development and in relation to the main psychological trends. It explains the social behavior of individuals in interpersonal relationships, in groups, and in crowd situations.
The aim of the course is to explain the history and current status of social psychology as a basic psychological discipline. The more general nature of the presentation is aimed primarily at providing a comprehensive conceptual system of social psychology and an explanation of important social psychological theories and phenomena. The seminar part of the course aims to present the latest findings and applied uses of general knowledge or to introduce traditional research in the areas discussed. The origin and formation of social psychology, the influence of major psychological trends on its development. The individual and the contribution of social determination to his psychological development. The nature of some socially determined mental processes: social perception, cognition and interpretation, social motivation, social learning, etc. Issues of interpersonal relations and related phenomena such as conformity, facilitation, cooperation and cooperation, prosocial behaviour, altruism, deindividuation, etc. Small social group and its structure and dynamics. Mass psychological phenomena and processes, large social groups. Methods of data collection (observation, experiment, interviewing, product analysis).
