Annotation -
The specific content of the seminar is based on current issues in school practice that the student encounters during their own field practice. The course provides students with practical skills for problem-solving in school practice through the analysis of specific case studies (e.g., analysis of challenging student behavior, potential causes of learning difficulties and associated academic failure, problematic relationships between teacher and student, difficult cooperation with parents, psychological issues). The seminar acquaints students with methods of teacher diagnostics with an emphasis on pedagogical intervention and the social skills of the educator. The course emphasizes the development of teachers' sensitivity to individual student needs and the effective use of pedagogical competencies in practice.

Syllabus -

This course introduces students to practical solutions for addressing common challenges in school practice. It enhances skills in pedagogical diagnostics with a psychological dimension through the analysis of specific case studies. Additionally, the seminar enriches students' understanding of symptoms and manifestations associated with special educational needs, such as behavioral and learning disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, twice-exceptionality, giftedness, psychological challenges, language diversity, and risks of school failure. It covers cooperation issues with parents and educators and outlines strategies for pedagogical interventions and support measures. Students are trained to approach children's situations holistically and differentially, recognizing the impact of individual specifics on personal and academic success. The course aims to develop teachers' sensitivity to each student's unique needs and optimal developmental trajectories, focusing on the effective use of pedagogical skills for managing educational situations, implementing interventions, and evaluating their outcomes.
