This course is designed for first-year students of the Faculty of Arts who are interested in understanding the principles
and applications of digital humanities and artificial intelligence in the humanities and social sciences. The course covers
the fundamentals of digital humanities, research capabilities of digital technology, artificial intelligence, and large-scale
language models such as OpenAI's GPT-3 and GPT-4. Students will learn about the practical aspects of using these
technologies in the humanities and social sciences, and will discuss their ethical and social impacts.
