Syllabus -

Syllabus:

  1. Simple distillation, fractional distillation, distillation under reduced pressure, distillation under inert gas, rotary vacuum evaporator: principles and carrying out.

  2. Chromatography: principles & techniques, column chromatography – separation of four-component mixture, thin layer chromatography – separation of mixtures, methods of detection.

  3. Monitoring and comparison of conversion rate of reaction carried out: at room temperature, under reflux, in microwave reactor. Identification of product.

  4. Reactions carried out under inert gas: types of reactions, principles & techniques. Identification of product.
