1. Zkouška se skládá ze 3 dílčích částí: krátká ústní prezentace vlastního tématu (hlavní teze, cíl, nástin literatury), 1 kapitola odborného článku na individuálně zvolené téma (Úvod + přehled literatury) (rozsah 600-800 slov), a pravidelné plnění krátkých domácích úkolů. 2. Pro absolvování předmětu je nutné splnit 70% docházku. 3. Vzhledem k povaze předmětu se právní předpisy a jiné zdroje nepoužívají. |

P Předmět Academic Writing (Akademické psaní) zahrnuje tato témata: - Academic genres, rhetorical situations, academic vocabulary - Thesis statement - Abstracts (structure, examples, types, common mistakes) - Academic style – readability measures, formality, plain language, legalisms, nominalisations, wordiness, information packaging, ambiguity - AI, plagiarism - Elements of academic papers, anatomy of an argument (Toulmin model) - Conference presentations (tips and tricks, common mistakes, alternative presentation styles, useful phrases) - UKAŽ, Zotero/Mendeley, annotated bibliography, Citace PRO - Book review (types, structure, examples, useful phrases, how to write critically) - Literature review (summary vs. synthesis, how to indicate a gap, how to write critically) - Introduction to a research paper (structure, example, fixed phrases) - Referencing styles (OSCOLA, Bluebook, Wolters Kluwer), common errors in student research papers, conclusions, Manchester Academic Phrasebank |
