In this course we will present theoretical framework for learning from text and reading comprehension as well as relevant findings of educational research in this area. Further, we will concentrate on translating theoretical constructs and research findings into every-day school practice for developing student comprehension strategies and literacy skills in general. Learning from text is important competence relevant for any subject-area and we will present the topic in its cross-curricular relations.
