Methods of teaching: powerpoint presentation, DVD with specific situations, demonstration of the patients by teacher, clinical examination by students, study of clinical records, practical training in the department for treatment of drug abuse in Apolinářská street.

Credit: Students obtain the information about the credit at the first day of the course, also, the information is located at http://www.pcp.lf3.cuni.cz/vyuka/. For credit 80% presence and knowledge test are required. The test is designed to overview the topics, therefore all students go through the answers after the test with the teacher to clarify some difficult topics. Students are encouraged to bring their own study materials to pass the test. In case of some unexpected situation (e.g. illness) students contact the teacher responsible for the course via e-mail motlova@pcp.lf3.cuni.cz, copy to the secretary jarosova@pcp.lf3.cuni.cz, as soon as possible. It is possible to replace the absence 1) with the other groups including with students in the Czech curriculum; 2) if this is not possible students contact the teacher responsible for the course via e-mail motlova@pcp.lf3.cuni.cz; in this case students participate either at the seminars or lectures of Prague Psychiatric Center if the topic is relevant, or they write a 5-pages long report on relevant topic after consultation with teacher responsible for the course. In case students are absent for the test, they are asked to contact teacher responsible for the course and make arrangements for some other time. |
